Direction of wind for torsion springs

Standard torsion springs are stocked in both right and left-hand wound versions.

Depending on the specific assembly, it may be advantageous to mount two torsion springs, one on each side of an object, instead of one torsion spring in the middle. The load will be distributed, and mounting and replacement will also be easier. Torsion spring - Coil direction

For a correct solution, a right-hand wound torsion spring should be mounted on one side, and a left-hand wound one on the other.

We indicate right-hand wound with an "R" (rechts, right) and left-hand wound with an "L" (links, left)

A torsion spring must always be loaded in the direction of the spring wire so the spring body closes.
